Research Abstract |
Water-window region [2.3 ? 4.4nm, transparent for water (Oxygen atom) but absorptive for hydrocarbon (carbon atom)] soft X-ray pulses have been successfully generated by a high-performance pulse laser. This region is attractive for high-contrast imaging of carbon structures within biological specimens. In addition, we have demonstrated a novel energy-scalable spectral-broadening method.
