Research Abstract |
In this study, new time-domain boundary element method was developed for non-linear ultrasonic simulation. The use of the new time-domain BEM provided the stable transient solutions even for small time increments. Numerical results show that stick-separation and stick-slip contact states excite 2nd order harmonics and sub-harmonics, and 3rd order higher harmonics, respectively.
