Research Abstract |
Phytochrome B (phyB) is a plants' major photoreceptor regulating various light responses of plants. In order to understand the molecular mechanism of phyB signal transduction in plant cells, we conducted a forward-genetic analysis by screening less light-responsive mutants in Arabidopsis. As a result, we identified a novel nuclear-localized RNA binding protein which was involved specifically in phyB signaling.
