Research Abstract |
We made various mutants combining kinesin 5 involved in centrosome separation during mitosis and kinesin 1 involved in vesicular transport, and observed their motility and conformations using single molecule techniques. The results elucidate that the motoric mode of kinesin 5 is switched by regulating the interactions between neck linker and motor head.
