Research Abstract |
In an epithelial layer, each cell forms polygonal structure to establish cell-cell adhesions with neighboring cells. We show that tricelluar junctional protein shapes epithelial cell morphology at the tricelluar corner, which leads to activation of the actin reorganization, thereby shaping the polygonal cell morphology.
