Research Abstract |
rj_1 and nfr1 mutant soybeans formed nodules by rhizobia harboring the type III secretion system (T3SS). Host nodulation genes were induced in the root inoculated with the T3SS-harboring rhizobia, suggesting that T3SS enforces legume host to initiate symbiotic programs.
