Research Abstract |
Genes differently expressed in a pathogenic microorganisms specific manner were identified and the regulation mechanisms of their expression were evaluated in fish, especially for Japanese flounder. In response to bacteria, a number of immune-related genes were strongly induced by Gram-negative bacteria rather than by Gram-negative bacteria. In response to viruses, gene expression profiles were strongly influenced by rearing temperatures.
