Research Abstract |
The butanol production system from cellulose by the co-culture of cellulose degrading Clostridium thermocellum and butanol producing Clostridium saccharoperbutylacetonicum was developed. This co-culture system selectively produced butanol and the acetone as a by-product were extremely decreased.
