Research Abstract |
In tumor metastasis, primary tumor secretes cytokines to stimulate remote organs to induce a pre-metastatic phase, which facilitates tumor cells migration. This project revealed that Clara cell, located only in terminal bronchioles, functions as a control tower of serum amyloid A3 cascade, a culprit of the pre-metastatic phase formation, by using animal model, organ culture, and cell culture techniques.
