Research Abstract |
Complement receptor 2 (CR2) is expressed by neural progenitor cells and inhibits differentiation to neural lineage. Adult neurogenesis was increased in the dentate gyrus of CR2 deficient mice, indicating that neurogenesis might be promoted by down-regulating CR2 signaling.
