Research Abstract |
We first showd that natural and synthetic ligands for Live X receptors (LXRs) have anti-fibrotic effects in human lung fibroblast. LXR agonists showed anti-fibrotic effects independently of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR)-γ. LXR agonists did not inhibit Smad2/3 phosphorylation and nuclear transport. LXR agonists have novel and potent anti-fibrotic effects in human lung fibroblasts.
