| Research Abstract |
Dopamine neurons derived from human iPS cells were investigated. We confirmed that they have Angiotensin receptor-like 1 (Agtrl1) and Interleukin-1 receptor 1 (IL1R1) on the surface of dopamine neurons derived from human iPS cells. During the differentiation from human iPS cells, administration of Apelin or Interleukin-1β (IL-1β), which are the ligands of those surface markers, increased the numbers of dopaminergic neurons. Those neurons showed less vulnerability to toxic 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium (MPP+).
