We generated IL-25-deficient mice to elucidate the role of IL-25 in the pathogenesis of contact hypersensitivity. The development of contact hypersensitivity was significantly suppressed in IL-25-deficient mice, suggesting that the neutralization of IL-25 may provide a potential target for therapeutic treatment for contact hypersensitivity.
