Research Abstract |
Renal stem cells such as CD24+CD133+podocalyxin+ cells, CD133-CD146+ cells, and side population cells were cultured from the urine of pediatric patients with nephropathy. These cells showed the ability to differentiate into various types of renal cells. Urine may be a useful tool for regenerative medicine for kidney disease.
