Research Abstract |
The spectral analysis of the auditory evoked magnetic fields revealed alpha synchronization and beta de-synchronization in auditory cortex. Spontaneous gamma band activity was measured in unilateral tinnitus patients. In all patients, the gamma band activity around the auditory cortex showed predominance in the non-tinnitus side. This asymmetry diminished after the administration of masking noise.
