Research Abstract |
This research clarified nursing practices for communication between ICU nurses and mechanically ventilated patients in order to obtain ideas for improving ICU nurses' communication practices with mechanically ventilated patients. The research results indicated that, in order for ICU nurses to improve their communication practices with mechanically ventilated patients, it is important that nurses should understand patients' message quickly and nurses keep on caring to relieve patients' suffering unless communication functions.
