Research Abstract |
Hearing loss produced by cochlear damage during early development can result in persistent changes in organization of the central auditory system in adults. In this research, we successfully made rats model with unilateral cochlear ablation conducted prior to the onset of hearig. Our next research is to investigate the neurochemical and neuroanatomical changes produced in auditory brainstem of these rats.
