Research Abstract |
The impact analysis using mouse liver tissue of high fructose feeding, revealed that O-GlcNAc proteins were increased after meal ingestion. These data suggest that increased hexosamine pathway might be associated with the development of metabolic syndrome. Furthermore, fructose may activate a transcription factor, ChREBP which was known to respond to glucose.
