Research Abstract |
The effect of post-ischemic hypothermia on the inner ear had not been clarified. We investigated whether hypothermia after transient ischemia could prevent the inner and outer hair cell damages and its therapeutic time window. The protective effect was greater when the hypothermia was induced earlier and had a longer duration.
