Research Abstract |
We developed a bio-engineered prosthesis with autologous chondrocytes and evaluate its effects on tracheal regeneration by implantation into the tracheal defects of rabbits. As a result, regeneration of tracheal cartilage with bridge-like formation was observed. Regenerated cartilage with bride-like formation can function as a frame for the trachea.
