Research Abstract |
We investigated the modulatory effects via dopamine receptor on the unitary inhibitory postsynaptic current between two medium spiny neurons, or a medium spiny neuron and a fast-spiking interneuron, using simultaneous electrophysiological recording. We have revealed that these two types of synapse were deferentially modulated via dopamine D_<2,3> receptors.
