Outline of Research at the Start

重力の曲率高次項が宇宙に与える影響を研究する。時空が高次元であるほど多種の曲率高次項が現れるため、その性質を調べることは高次元時空の存在を検証することにつながる。本研究課題では、ラブロック重力の曲率高次項によって高次元時空が4次元フリードマン宇宙を模倣する性質に着目する。現在の宇宙に見られる未解明の性質に対して、高次元時空の視点から説明することに挑戦する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

余剰次元模型では質量を持った重力子のタワーが現れる。本研究では、有質量重力理論をパルサータイミングを用いて検証するための研究をおこなった。一定程度の進展は見られ、国際会議にて研究の途中経過の報告をおこなった。しかしながら、論文という形で出版できるまでの完成度には至らなかった。
また、アインシュタイン-エーテル理論の高次補正を求める研究もおこなった。ラグランジアンに含まれる可能な項をすべて書き下すことに成功し、宇宙論的摂動の評価もおこなった。論文を執筆中ではあるが、完成には至っていない。
