Outline of Research at the Start

単層CNT(SWCNT),窒化ホウ素(h-BN)ナノチューブ,二硫化モリブデンナノチューブが同軸に積層された一次元ファンデルワールス(1D vdW)ヘテロ構造の基礎物性解明と実用に向け,大規模で制御性の高い合成法が求められる.本研究では,汎用性の高いCVD法を開発し,高品質1D vdWヘテロ構造ライブラリの構築を目指す.多様な1Dヘテロ構造形成を通じ,その成長メカニズムを明らかにするだけでなく,特異な物性や潜在的な応用開拓へ寄与する.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

2年目には、さらに一歩進めて1次元ヘテロ構造の概念を広げた。まず、SWCNT-BNNT-WS2ヘテロ構造において、最外層としてチューブ状のタングステンジサルファイド(WS2)が実現された。さらに、このWS2は、前述のチューブ状のMoS2と軸方向に結合させることができ、1次元MoS2 - WS2軸方向接合を形成することができた。このようなナノチューブ構造は、径方向および軸方向の両方で異なるものであり、全体の構造は幅5nmに制限されていた。1次元MoS2 - WS2軸方向接合のほか、1次元MoS2 - WS2合金ナノチューブも最外層として実現することができた。この「ダブルヘテロ」構造は、現在の1次元ヘテロ構造の知識を拡張するだけでなく、次世代の電子デバイスや光電子デバイスとして新たに開発された1次元ヘテロ構造の研究への基盤を築いている。
