| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究では「幼児の遊びを止めない！」に着目し、保育の質向上のひとつの手法として幼児教育でのICT活用フレームワークの構築を目的とする。まず第一に、園と家庭を繋ぐICT活用が保育における幼児の直接体験や創造的な活動を強化する事例を収集し、共通点をガイドラインに整理する。第二に、整理されたガイドラインをもとに、教育工学や幼児教育、発達心理学、医学の専門家の多角的な意見を組み入れ、幼児教育全般に広げる。研究成果としての、活用事例集やガイドラインは随時Webサイトで公表・更新する。また学習サイトの構築及び園の情報化認定制度の設立では、長期運用による評価を積極的に国内外で発表・論文投稿し広く普及させる。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We conducted interviews with advanced kindergartens that use ICT to enhance the direct experiences and creative activities of young children. Based on the results, we created and published guidelines.
Additionally, we developed self-assessment checklists for both childcare teachers and parents to evaluate their information utilization abilities. We also developed an online learning site corresponding to the checklists. we have created a certification system to assess the progress of ICT utilization in kindergartens and developed an online learning site for this purpose.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究が目指す学術的意義は，ECEC及び就学前教育の保育の質向上を目指すためのICT環境構築とその活用に関するフレームワークを考えることにある。ガイドラインや保育者・保護者の情報活用能力育成の基準を含めたフレームワークを構築することなど，科学的な知見を通じて幼児教育分野に反映させることは，日本でのECECや就学前教育において，保育の質が向上する過程を保証する事実やエビデンスがないこと，保育の質を測定する基準がないこと，さらにどうすれば保育の質が高められるか，という理念や精神論ではなく具体的事実が必要である，という指摘にも対応でき，幼児教育への学術的貢献に寄与すると考える。
