Outline of Research at the Start

新奇な電子状態の発見は、新しい機能の発現、さらには新たな学問分野の開拓や産業的応用につながることから、電子状態を制御する新たな手法の開発は非常に重要である。本研究では、有機結晶における新しい電子状態開拓法として分子の吸脱着を適用する。そのために、既存の分子性導体と多孔性配位高分子(MOF)の長所を併せ持つ多孔性分子導体(PMC)を開発し、分子の吸脱着に柔軟に応答して構造が可逆的に変化する結晶を合成する。この骨格の構造変化によるバンド構造制御、ナノ細孔に吸着した分子との電荷移動によるバンドフィリング制御を駆使して新奇な電子状態を探索する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、有機結晶における新しい電子状態開拓法として分子の吸脱着を適用することを目指して、分子性導体と多孔性配位高分子(MOF)を融合した多孔性分子導体(PMC)の開発を行った。本年度はこれまで取り組んできた「①骨格構造の次元性制御によるPMCの柔軟性の制御」、「②分子吸脱着によるPMCのバンド構造・バンドフィリング制御」に加えて「③PMCを基盤とした分子応答デバイス・機能性電極の特性評価」にも取り組んだ。
①については新たにジヒドロインドロカルバゾール(ICZ)骨格に着目し、その導電特性の参考とするために、N-メチル化されたICZ-Me分子を用いて複数の電荷移動錯体を合成した。アクセプター分子との交互積層型電荷移動錯体では、電荷移動度が大きなTCNEとの錯体で最も電気伝導率が高くなることを明らかにした。PMC骨格の柔軟性制御に関しては、トリアゾイル基を有するNDI誘導体と金属ハライド鎖からなる堅牢な三次元骨格を有するPMCの合成に成功し、金属イオンやハライドの種類によってπ積層距離が制御できることを見出した。
②、③については①で合成した堅牢なPMCを種々のガス雰囲気に置くことで酸化還元による化学ドーピングやこの伝導率変化を用いたセンシングに取り組んだ。実際に酸化性ガスとの反応によって伝導率が数ケタ減少することを明らかにした。また、このPMCは電解還元法で合成可能なため、くし形電極を原料溶液中で通電することでPMC薄膜を形成させ、洗浄後に電流－電圧特性の測定を行いながら酸化性ガスを流すことで、数十ppmという低濃度でも電気伝導率が数十%減少することを見出した。したがって、PMCがガスセンシングに適用可能な物質であることが明らかになった。
