Outline of Research at the Start

Outline of Final Research Achievements

Linking various sensory stimuli to the execution of appropriate behaviors is a fundamental function of the nervous system, yet the underlying molecular developmental mechanisms remain unknown. Here, we showed that command-like Wave neurons match their somatosensory receptive field to appropriate motor outputs by changing their axon extension along the A-P axis in segment-specific manner via the Wnt4/Fz2 axon guidance molecules.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
