Outline of Research at the Start	分裂期紡錘体によって担われる染色体の正確な分配は、がんなどの疾患の原因となる染色体異常を防ぐために必要不可欠な生命現象である。双極性の紡錘体は、分裂期開始前に分離する2つの中心体が起点となって形成される。この中心体の分離タイミングは厳密に制御されており、正確な染色体分配を可能とする機構の一端を担うと考えられている。しかし、中心体の分離タイミング異常がどのようにして染色体の分配異常を引き起こすのかについては明らかとなっていない。本研究では、最新の細胞生物学的手法などを用いることで、中心体の分離タイミングが厳密に制御されている理由を解明する。
