Outline of Research at the Start

乱流境界層に気泡を混入することで摩擦抵抗を減らす技術が,船舶等で実用化が進む.しかしどの船種も省エネ率は10%弱で頭打ちとなっている.理由は,気液二相乱流境界層に何ら制御を課してしないことにある.当課題では省エネ率を30%台に押し上げる3つの新たな境界層制御法を設計・試験する.①抵抗低減の下流持続性を延伸する気泡分布パターン制御,②翼と表面構造装飾による気泡注入動力の最小化制御,③せん断力計と超音波によるフィードバック制御である.海運の低エミッション化を促す基本技術とするために,二相流の不規則性と時空多重性に正対したスマート制御技術を確立する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

令和5年度は,以下の研究調査を進めた.朴は光プローブによる32mの平底モデル船における境界層内の気泡分布,気泡サイズ,気泡速度を計測し,気泡を連続的に注入する場合と間欠的に注入する場合の差異を明らかにした.熊谷は高速水平チャネル中に翼を設置し,翼まわりに形成される気液界面形状と発生気泡流量を測定した.その結果,5 m/s以下では分散気泡流,8 m/s以上ではスーパーキャビティとなり,その間では2つのモードが間欠的に入れ替わる性質を発見した.大石は大小2つの気泡群を水平チャネルに同時に注入することによる抵抗低減効果を測定した.その結果,いずれかより特定の割合で混合させたほうが抵抗低減が促進されることを明らかにした.北川は壁面を撥水性,超撥水性,疎水性のコーティングをすることよる乱流境界層中の気泡運動パターンの変化を測定した.またマイクロ気膜の形成に関する最初の実験成果を得た.田坂は気泡や液滴を含む懸濁液の実効粘度および複素粘度を超音波ドップラー法で測定した.その結果,ダイナミックキャピラリー数により粘弾性が最大化する条件を見出した.堀本は水平ベルトドライブ構造による定点観測が可能な空間発展乱流境界層を作成し,気泡注入によるボイド波の発生条件を明らかにした.代表者の村井は,分担者の熊谷とともに,企業と国研からのアドバイザーを招き,東京・明星大学において以上の成果を年度末成果報告・討論会として開催し,次年度以降の研究計画の策定を推進した.

2: Research has progressed on the whole more than it was originally planned.

Reason

代表者および分担者が初年度の計画策定から成果獲得まで6回の全体会議を実施し,相互の進捗を確認して進めたため順調と判断できる.R5年度の年度末には研究推進委員会を開催し,造船企業,海運企業,海上技術安全研究所,理研など計6名の外部アドバイザーに批評を頂き,次年度の研究内容の具体化を促すことが出来た.またR6年2月には本課題からの成果がNHKサイエンスゼロで放送された.論文としての成果はR5年度内に7編の国際学術雑誌に掲載され,インパクトファクタの和は21.8に至った.初年度のR3年度からの累計ではインパクトファクタ96を超えている.これは科研基盤Aの学術研究プロジェクトでは順調と言える.また研究成果からさらなる未解明要素が派生しており,抵抗低減を促進するさらなるアイデアと仮説が生まれ,次年度に向けて取り組むべき内容が具体化した.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

R5年3月に開催された研究推進会議において下記の質問の議事録があり,これらについてR6年度に開発調査を推進することとなった.光プローブによる船底の気泡の計測においては高密度な気泡群の計測に課題がないか.32mのモデル船より何倍も長い船舶でのボイド波の発展についてモデル化できないか.水中翼による気泡発生では高速時にキャビテーションは問題とならないか.また船舶のスクリュー部への気泡巻き込みはどう回避するか.大小2つの気泡群の実験はサイズが2倍程度だが,マイクロバブルと気膜のように極端な組合せでの効果も明らかにすべき.撥水性などのコーティング効果は実船の高レイノルズ数の条件でどの程度実用的かについてデータがない.気泡懸濁液の粘弾性は海水ではどうなるか,あるいは不純物の影響は調べる必要はないか.ベルトドライブの実験装置では容器を拡大して対流の影響を最小化できないか.以上の課題についてR6年度からの4年目の研究内容に反映させる計画である.
