Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、風洞実験における画像計測と数値流体力学(CFD)に基づくシミュレーションをデータ同化で融合することで不確かさを減らす、リアルとヴァーチャルを融合した新しい実験法「風洞実験デジタルツイン」を研究する。この「風洞実験デジタルツイン」は、計測上の物理的制約で拘束された画像計測から、必要とするすべてのデータをデジタルツイン上で取得することを可能にする。デジタルツインの構築に必要なデータ量を明らかにし、十分な精度を保証するための指針を得て、デジタルツインを介した風洞実験データの自由な取得を可能にし、ポストコロナの時代に求められる風洞実験の省力化、遠隔化、自動化に資する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、風洞実験における画像計測とCFDによるシミュレーションをデータ同化で融合することで不確かさを減らす、リアルとヴァーチャルを融合したデジタルツインによる新しい実験法を構築し、その精度を検証している。データ同化により、風洞実験の計測値を融合したシミュレーション「風洞実験デジタルツイン」を研究開発した。この「風洞実験デジタルツイン」を利用すれば、物理制約で制限された画像計測のみから、必要とするすべてのデータ・可視化結果をデジタルツイン上で取得可能となる。
特に「風洞実験デジタルツイン」により、画像計測におけるシーディングやライティングの制約が解消され、任意の計測・可視化が可能となる。この目標を達成するために、本研究では、4年間を通じ、1.2次元粒子画像流速計測法(PIV) による計測値を同化したデジタルツイン構築、2.模型表面感圧塗料(PSP) による計測値を同化したデジタルツイン構築、3.磁力支持天秤装置(MSBS) を利用したデジタルツイン構築、4.3次元(定常流れ)から4次元(非定常流れ)へ拡張、の4ステップにより段階的に研究を進めてきた。
PIV データと非定常な数値シミュレーションを用いたデータ同化によってこのような乱流構造の時間変化も忠実に再現可能となるより先進的な「風洞実験デジタルツイン」の構築を試みた。このために、令和5年度はDetached Eddy Simulation (DES)を導入した。DESでは壁近傍の小さい渦は乱流モデルによって平均的な場として計算し、壁から離れた渦が大きい領域はLESによって計算する。RANS同様空間2次精度のDESにデータ同化を導入した結果、時間平均場がさらに高精度で風洞実験に一致することが確認できた。一方、流れの非定常成分についてはデータ同化による改善がなく、時間精度あるいは空間精度の不足が示唆された。

Reason

本研究では、4年間を通じ、1.2次元粒子画像流速計測法(PIV) による計測値を同化したデジタルツイン構築、2.模型表面感圧塗料(PSP) による計測値を同化したデジタルツイン構築、3.磁力支持天秤装置(MSBS) を利用したデジタルツイン構築、4.3次元(定常流れ)から4次元(非定常流れ)へ拡張、の4ステップにより段階的に研究を進めている。
これまでに、ステップ1&3のDESによる2次元PIV計測値を同化したデジタルツイン構築と、ステップ2のPSP計測値を同化した2次元のデジタルツイン構築を行った。また、ステップ3のMSBS風洞実験について、風洞実験、飛行実験による検証データが豊富なJAXA小型自動着陸実験「ALFLEX」実験機の形状データをJAXAから提供していただき、定常流れの数値計算及び風洞実験を実施した。以上より、最終的なステップ4に進む準備が整った。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

今年度は、ステップ1&3&4でDESを高精度化したデータ同化を実施し、デジタルツインの高精度化を図る。同時に、ステップ2&4のPSP計測値を同化した3次元のデジタルツイン構築を行う。また、ステップ3でALFLEX実験機を用いた非定常流れのMSBS動的風洞実験を実施する。以上より、最終的なステップ4で成果をあげる。
