Outline of Research at the Start

Outline of Final Research Achievements
We succeeded in developing an operando measurement method with nanometer and tens picosecond spatiotemporal resolution using a pulsed scanning electron beam. We achieved high-speed operando measurements of various materials, such as laser-induced structural changes of nanoparticles, plasmon relaxation processes, and the electric field and I-V characteristics of PN junctions under laser irradiation. We also realized single-shot serial NBD and single-shot 4D-STEM, enabling damage-free structural analysis and operando STEM imaging of photo-induced phase transition materials. We revealed thermal expansion and the rotation of two-dimensional materials by using time-resolved measurement of Moire fringes. We also established an electron microscopic method for fish biological tissues, verified the electron beam damage effect on polymeric materials, and demonstrated the extraction of dynamic components from time-resolved image data.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
