Outline of Research at the Start

社会インフラとして定着したInternet of Things(IoT)技術のさらなる高度化への需要とその自動運転、遠隔機器制御、インプラント通信への応用に鑑み、本研究は、符号設計の視点から通信誤り率と処理遅延の最適トレードオフ特性を解明し、それをスケーラブルに実現する符号化および復号手法を確立することで、高信頼性と低遅延性の最適バランスを保証するモバイルネットワークのための符号設計パラダイムを創出することを目的とする。今後のBeyond 5Gおよび6Gで求められる高信頼・低遅延モバイルネットワークの低消費電力による実装への道筋を示すことで、持続可能かつ快適なIoT社会の創出に貢献する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は、研究代表者らが前年度に提案したReciprocal Channel Approximation(RCA)に基づくPolar符号設計手法を基に、送信データ(情報ビット列)が優先データ部(低遅延、高信頼)と通常データ部に分割される伝送システムを提案し、優先データに対しては所望のブロック誤り率を達成しつつ、通常データ部よりも早く復号処理を完了してデータ部を出力する、復号遅延抑制手法を考案した。SC復号、SCL復号、およびCA-SCL復号法のそれぞれに対して適した符号化・復号処理手法を明らかにした。本成果は、重要データに対して低遅延と高信頼を同時に達成する手法を提案するものであり、その有効性を理論解析を交えて示した(IEEE Open Journal of Communications Society に掲載)。その他の主要な研究成果として、近年注目されている空間変調に関する有用性の評価と改善手法の提案(IEEE Communications Magazine)、無線通信方式の標準であるOFDM方式を超える周波数効率の達成を試みる非直交変調方式の有効性に関する理論解析(IEEE Transactions on Communications)などが挙げられる。また、OFDMの電力効率と誤り率特性の双方の改善を試みた研究成果(IEEE WiMob 2023および IEEE CCNC 2024にて発表)、SNRの変動に対してロバストなPolar符号の設計手法の提案(IEEE MILCOM2023にて発表)、Polar符号とOFDMを併用した秘匿通信の提案、およびOFDM信号に秘密情報を効果的に埋め込む手法など(いずれもIEEE GLOBECOM 2023にて発表)、IoT無線通信システムおよびネットワークの高信頼化、低消費電力化および安全・安心につながる研究成果を得た。

Reason

前年度までの成果発表に加え、新たに高インパクトファクタのIEEE論文誌/雑誌(計3本)の採択、査読付き国際会議5編の発表(うちIEEE Communications Society のフラッグシップ国際会議であるIEEE GLOBECOM 2編を含む)につながった。これまで以上に本研究成果が国際的に高い評価の獲得につながっており、当初の計画以上に進展していると判断できる。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

本年度の主要成果の一つである、所望の信頼度と低遅延復号を同時に達成するPolar符号に基づく提案伝送方式の無線通信環境への適用、および多値変調方式への拡張が挙げられる。これが実現できれば、実環境でより大容量かつ高信頼・低遅延を実現するIoTネットワークの確立につながる。また、IoTデバイスのバッテリーに対する厳しい制約を考慮し、IoTネットワークのさらなる低消費電力化につながる符号化・変調・アクセス方式の確立を目指す。
