Outline of Research at the Start

「かわいい」は，日ごろもっともよく見聞きする言葉の１つである。本研究では，対象の属性である「かわいさ」と，対象に接することで個人内に生じる「かわいい感情」とを区別するという枠組みに基づき，(1)かわいい感情に及ぼす認知と身体感覚の役割の検討，(2)「かわいいもので癒される」現象の解明，(3)動きや対象同士の関係性といった新しいかわいさの発見と定量化，(4)かわいい感情を活用した瞑想（メンタルトレーニング）の実践と体系化を目指す。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

今年度は，予定していた5つのテーマに取り組んだ。それぞれ以下のような成果（一部は途中経過）が得られた。(1)かわいいと感じることと接近動機づけとの関係について，動物写真を見ているときの重心（足圧中心）を計測することで検証した。写真の感情価に応じて重心が前後方向に偏ることが示された。(2)かわいいものを見ることが自己への甘やかしに及ぼす影響を追試する前段階として，かわいいと感じるときの心身反応を包括的に捉える質問紙の作成に取り組んだ。ポジティブとネガティブの両側面があり，両者の相関は中程度であることが示された。現在は項目を減らした改訂版の作成を行っている。(3)かわいいと感じられる身体動作の要素をボトムアップで明らかにするために小型ヒューマノイドロボットを使った予備調査を行った。その結果，かわいいと感じられる動作パターンを抽出できた。現在はその動作がなぜかわいいと感じられるかについての解釈を行っている。(4) 「かわいい瞑想」のトレーニング動画を用いた一般成人を対象とした介入研究を開始した。現在も継続中である。また，かわいい感情とコンパッションについての縦断研究も行い，ある時点におけるかわいいと感じる程度は1か月後の他者への思いやりの程度に影響することが示された。(5)ロボットの見た目が提案（情報推薦）の受容に与える影響を検討する前段階として，小型ヒューマノイドを用いてかわいいと感じられる首傾げの角度と速さ，同時に行う手の動作の効果について検証した。

Reason

年度当初に予定した研究テーマにはすべて着手した。また，これまでに実施してきたテーマについても着々と論文発表の成果が出ており，プレスリリース等も行っている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

研究全体の方向性には問題がないため，今年度の研究テーマを引き続いて実施する。「かわいい感情」については海外での研究も進んできているため，来年度以降にすり合わせを行っていく。
