Outline of Research at the Start

標準宇宙モデルを超えた物理の探究という最重要課題に取り組むため、最新鋭の観測機器を駆使した撮像・分光観測が計画されている。例えば、欧州宇宙機関によるEuclid衛星計画は、銀河パワースペクトルと重力レンズ効果の観測により、これまでにない深い宇宙における大規模構造の広域探査を目標としている。これら将来の観測計画においては統計量を数%以下の精度で測定することが可能となるため、新しい物理の兆候を見出だせる可能性がある。そこで、本研究では将来観測による高精細の広域観測データを最大限活用し、暗黒成分の正体に代表される標準宇宙モデルを超えた物理を理論・観測の両面から探求することを目的とする。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

銀河の三次元分布は背景にある物質分布を通してダークマターによる重力やダークエネルギーによる加速膨張の影響を色濃く反映している。銀河の奥行き方向の距離測定は、銀河から発せられる輝線の分光観測をもとになされる。この距離測定においては宇宙膨張の効果だけではなく、銀河の特異速度の寄与もあり、真の距離からずれが生じてしまう。この現象は赤方偏移歪みと呼ばれ、現在の銀河分光観測においては正確に理論モデルに取り入れる必要がある。現状の解析においては、この赤方偏移歪みの計算がボトルネックとなり、考慮するパラメータを減らすなど条件を限定せざるを得ない状況であった。そこで、我々はこの問題を解決するため、応答関数を用いた展開法を用いて、パワースペクトルといった銀河分布統計量の計算を従来の場合と比較し50倍程度高速化する手法を実装した。この手法により、これまで困難であった、より一般的な宇宙モデルにおいてパラメータ制限の解析を行うことを可能にした。我々は2023年に打ち上げ予定のEuclid衛星の観測条件のもとで、実際の観測データを模したシミュレーションにより、理論モデルが正確にダークマターの存在量といった宇宙論パラメータを推定することが可能か詳細に精査する研究を行なった。この研究により、赤方偏移歪みを考慮した場合、速度場の情報も引き出すことが可能になるため、より宇宙論パラメータに対して強い制限を与えることが可能になることを示した。
