Outline of Research at the Start

核医学の分野では画像診断精度の向上や新規放射性治療薬の体内での動態解明のために多核種同時イメージングが求められている。そこで本研究では多光子同時計測法を用いた診断核種から治療核種までの多核種同時イメージング技術の確立を目指す。そのために多光子同時計測法によるバックグラウンド低減、および高感度位置特定性能の検証を行うとともに、新しい生体用多光子放出核種の探索製造も行う。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究課題は新しい生体用多光子放出核種の探索・製造とともに、多光子同時計測による高信号対雑音比(SBR: Signal-to-Background Ratio)かつ高感度位置特定手法の検証を行い、多核種同時イメージング技術の確立を目指すことを目的としている。本年度は引続きSi/GFAGコンプトンPETハイブリッドカメラの開発検証を行うとともに、新規治療核種であるベータ線放出核種の67CuとSPECT核種の111Inの二光子同時計測による高SBRイメージングの検証を実施した。
1)Si/GFAGコンプトンPETハイブリッドカメラを構築し、18F(PET核種)と99mTc (SPECT核種, 140.5 keVガンマ線)の同時撮像試験を行った。これまで開発したGAGG検出器によるカメラと比べ検出効率が2桁ほど落ちるものの、GAGGカメラでは難しかった100 keV~200 keVの低エネルギーガンマ線のコンプトンイメージングとPETイメージングによる同時撮像に成功した。
2)理化学研究所のAVFサイクロトロンを用いて新しい多光子放出核種かつ治療核種の67Cuの製造を行い、パラレルホールコリメータとスリットホールコリメータを用いた二光子同時計測手法による67Cu/111Inの多核種撮像検証を行った。スリットコリメータは核種位置を面上にしか制限できないが、90度方向に配置したパラレルホールコリメータを用いて1点に位置を特定することができる。111Inの点線源を用いて、パラレルコリメータのみで構成した場合と比較し、スリットコリメータを用いることで検出効率が5.3倍向上することを実証した。さらに、67Cu(91.3 keVと93.5 keVのガンマ線)と111In(171 keVと245 keVのガンマ線)の分布線源の提案手法による高SBR同時イメージングに成功し、その有用性を示した。
