Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では気液二相乱流境界層の三次元幾何全域での制御理論体系の構築を達成する.構築された理論体系は、気泡抵抗低減(BDR)に対する基礎研究と海上実験の両者にあった乖離を解消し、BDR性能を向上させるための主幹となる. 三次元効果の究明は,同時に,三次元効果の利用という革新的設計を生み出す.その成果は気液二相流における学術理論体系の拡張も実現する.2年間の研究で、実際の船舶でも適用できる抵抗低減率予測式を提案するとともに、抵抗低減性能の最大化が目的である.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

傾斜面や曲面を含む三次元船体表面における空気潤滑作用についての体系的なラボスケール実験調査により下記の実績を獲得した.
1. 時空間高解像度超音波ドップラー流速分布測定法の開発により、乱流構造、渦度等気液二相流の重要な情報を取得できるようにした.既存の超音波流速計測技術では液相内一方向の速度しか取得することができないため、乱流境界層で得られる情報は制限された.本研究では速度のベクトル成分を算定できるようにする超音波トランスデューサーの配列を提示して、計測システムを構築した.構築システムの妥当性検証とデモンストレーションにより平均3%以内の誤差で機能する超音波計測システムの開発を完了した.
2. 曳航水槽実験により気液間相互作用を明瞭化し気泡の運動をモデリングした.傾斜角によって境界層の厚さが変化し、高い曳航速度では気泡の運動は境界層内の液相流速によって支配される.しかし、低い曳航速度では浮力が支配的となり、気泡の大きさと合体にも影響を与える.上記の結果を基に傾斜板下気泡速度を予測できる経験式と気泡の抗力係数モデル式を提案した.
3. 傾斜乱流チャネル装置を使用して低い傾斜度での気泡形状の変化を観測し、その変化を決定付ける力の成分を分析した.上向きの傾斜条件で挙動する気泡の形状は水平条件と大きな差異が生じなかったが、下向きの傾斜条件での気泡形状が周期的に変形した.変形メカニズムを究明するため気泡に作用する揚力、浮力、表面張力の平衡方程式を立て、揚力係数を算出した.そして揚力係数はHydrostaticとHydrodynamic forceによって決定されることを確認した.
