Outline of Research at the Start	中小企業の事業承継や緊急事態（自然災害や感染症の拡大等）における事業継続計画が課題に上がることが多い。しかしながら，事業の承継・継続だけが至上命題であろうか。中小企業を取り巻くステークホルダーへの損害を少なくするための事業からの撤退もあって良いはずである。本研究の目的は，事業承継時に廃業という選択肢もあることを指摘した上で，自主廃業の概念の中に「戦略的廃業」という概念を導入し，戦略的廃業指標を構築し，この指標が機能しうるのかを実証的に検証しようとするものである。本研究の成果は，中小企業の業態転換や，生産性の改善にも波及効果が及ぶと期待される。
