| Outline of Research at the Start |
本研究は、高校普通科におけるキャリア教育、特に学校教育全体を通して行われているキャリア意識形成のプロセスとその影響要因を解明するものである。
具体的には、（１）普通科の生徒のキャリア意識について、学年進行ごとに定点調査を行い、そこでの変化やその要因を明らかにする。（２）生徒の進路意識に影響を与えているキャリア教育を志向していない教科外活動や特色ある取り組みを明らかにする。（３）以上の２点から、複数の普通科高校との地域間比較を行い、キャリア教育の新しい可能性と実践モデルを構築することを目指す。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study explores vocational and career education in Japanese high schools amid labor diversification in contemporary society. Field research in general high schools showed that students’ participation in autonomous activities significantly shapes career consciousness. Institutional factors like academic tracking (liberal arts vs. sciences) and gender norms were found to limit career choices. Effective career education requires systematic, staged programs, teacher collaboration, and educational use of student-led initiatives. Through surveys and interviews, the study analyzed factors influencing career awareness. Voluntary engagement in school roles enhanced motivation and self-understanding of career paths. While formal subject learning had limited impact, courses on social systems (e.g., politics, economics) showed some effect. Future challenges include supporting diverse student needs, adapting to labor market changes, and addressing gender disparities in educational outcomes.

本研究は、高校生のキャリア意識形成における主体的活動の役割を明らかにし、従来の教科学習だけでは捉えきれない多面的な教育効果を示した点で学術的意義が大きい。
さらに、体系的なキャリア教育プログラム整備の必要性を提示し、実践的な教育改善や政策形成に資する社会的意義を持つ。
