Outline of Research at the Start

近年の宇宙論的超精密観測により,現在の宇宙の加速膨張が明らかにされ,その要因として,万有引力よりも強い負の圧力(反発力)を持つ「暗黒エネルギー」の存在が示された。本研究では,初期宇宙での加速的な宇宙膨張であるインフレーションと現在の宇宙の加速膨張機構,現在の宇宙を満たしている未知の暗黒エネルギー,光で輝かない暗黒物質,通常の物質(バリオン),そして宇宙磁場と初期宇宙で生成された原始重力波の起源を拡張重力理論において統一的に解明する。本研究が完成すれば,重力の量子化を含めた重力の普遍的性質の理解の手がかりが得られると強く期待される。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究課題の目的は,宇宙の加速膨張機構を内包する拡張重力理論のもつ理論的特性を系統的に詳しく解析することである.本研究の意義は,重力の量子化を含めた重力の普遍的性質の解明につながる可能性があることである.令和5年度の研究実績は下記のようにまとめられる.

(1)宇宙を初期にさかのぼると曲率が発散する初期特異点が存在する.曲率の2次の項から構成されるガウス=ボンネ重力理論において,宇宙の膨張率であるハッブルパラメーターの符号が負(収縮相)から正(膨張相)へと変化するバウンス解の存在を示した.さらに,バウンス前後での宇宙の状態方程式およびヌル・優勢・強・弱の各エネルギー条件の振る舞いを解析した.
(2)多様な拡張重力理論の理論的特性を探るため,強重力場領域での重力場の方程式を解析した.第一に,重力的パリティ対称性の破れを伴う動的チャーン=サイモンズ理論において,回転速度の小さなブラックホール解を考察した.また,重力子が有限質量をもつ共形重力理論におけるブラックホールの弱い重力レンズ効果を解析した.第二に,時空上のある領域から別の領域へ通過が可能な幾何学的時空構造であるワームホール解を研究した.特に,ガウス=ボンネ重力理論における静的球対称なワームホール解,および捩率で記述される重力理論におけるワームホール解の安定性を解析した.
(3)拡張重力理論における動的な天体形成過程を解析した.特に,f(R)重力理論において相対論的流体の動的球対称重力崩壊を系統的に調べた.加えて,重力的分離法を用いて,ブランス=ディッケ理論における非等方球対称時空解を解析した.
(4)近年の宇宙論的観測データを用いて統計解析を行い,高次曲率項をもつ重力理論におけるモデルパラメータに対する観測的制限を導出した.加えて,スカラー場理論による暗黒エネルギーモデルを考察し,観測と整合するスカラー場のポテンシャルを解析した.

Reason

本研究課題の主眼は,長距離スケールで一般相対性理論を拡張するアプローチを通じて,初期宇宙でのインフレーションと後期宇宙における加速膨張を実現することである.そして,現在の宇宙の三大物質組成である暗黒エネルギー・暗黒物質・バリオン,および宇宙磁場と初期宇宙からの原始重力波の起源を拡張重力理論において統一的に解明することである.令和5年度の研究計画では,高次曲率項もつ拡張重力理論におけるインフレーションと現在の宇宙の加速膨張機構の解明を目標にして研究を遂行した.

結果として,曲率の2次の項から構成されるガウス=ボンネ重力理論において,インフレーションを実現する前段階に存在する初期特異点を回避し得るバウンス解の存在を明らかにすると共に,ヌルエネルギー条件を中心とする各種のエネルギー条件がどのように破れるかを解析した.さらに,拡張重力理論の理論的特性をより深く理解するための相補的な研究として,様々な拡張重力理論において,ブラックホールやワームホールという強重力場領域での宇宙物理学および重力崩壊の動的過程を多角的に研究することにより,一般相対性理論からの重力の拡張の性質に関するより詳細な考察を行った.加えて,高次曲率項をもつ拡張重力理論での宇宙論と正準スカラー場理論における暗黒エネルギーモデルに対する観測的制限を導出した.

上記の研究成果は,本研究課題の目的達成に向けて十分に資する内容であることから,現在までの研究はおおむね順調に進展していると考えられる.

Strategy for Future Research Activity

本研究課題では,初期宇宙のインフレーションと後期宇宙での加速膨張,そして暗黒エネルギー・暗黒物質・バリオンという現在の宇宙の三大物質組成,並びに宇宙磁場と初期宇宙で生成される原始重力波の起源を拡張重力理論において統一的に解明することを目的とする.さらに,宇宙・物質・時空を支配する普遍的法則を導き出し,宇宙創生から現在までを総合的に記述する宇宙進化学の理論的基盤の確立に寄与することを目標とする.

今後の推進方策として,第一に,これまでの研究で得た拡張重力理論を発展させて,インフレーションと暗黒エネルギー優勢期での加速膨張を統一的に実現できる理論的・観測的により現実的な拡張重力理論を構築する.特に,曲率の高次の量子補正項を含む重力理論において,インフレーションに続くプレヒーティングと再加熱過程を通じて,一般相対性理論に加わった新たなスカラー自由度を起源とする暗黒物質の生成と進化を考察する.

第二に,インフレーション期において,重力場との結合による電磁場の共形不変性の破れを通じて大域的磁場を生成され,それに伴って重力波が発生し,磁気へリシティが生まれるシナリオを構築する.この磁気へリシティが量子異常効果を通じてバリオン数に転化される.磁気ヘリシティは,パリティの異なる勾配成分と渦成分の2つのモードで記述される宇宙マイクロ波背景輻射の偏光に影響を及ぼすため,温度揺らぎと渦成分および勾配成分と渦成分の間に相関が生じる.将来観測される可能性のあるこれらの相関を用いて磁気ヘリシティのスペクトルに対する制限を求め,構築したシナリオの現実性を明らかにする.加えて,インフレーション期を含め,宇宙論的な一次相転移(電弱相転移およびクォーク-ハドロン相転移)から生成される原始重力波のスペクトルの特性を系統的に詳しく解析し,将来の観測可能性を検証する.
