Outline of Research at the Start	申請者らはこれまで、細胞老化に伴い発現が上昇する分子としてSAGPを同定し、SAGP陽性細胞を除去することで、糖尿病や動脈硬化などの疾患が改善することを見出した。SAGPはアルツハイマー病やパーキンソン病などの異常タンパクの蓄積による神経変性疾患の脳でも発現が上昇していることが報告されている。またSAGPはリソソームストレスで発現が上昇することも明らかとなったことから、異常タンパクが蓄積し、老化したSAGP高発現の細胞を除去する事が病態の改善に繋がる可能性があると考えた。これまでの研究で確立したSAGP除去ワクチンがアルツハイマーモデルマウスの病態を改善するかどうか検討を行なう。
