Outline of Research at the Start

特発性肺線維症の疾患バイオマーカーと予後を改善しうる治療法の新たな開発は，緊急に解決すべき課題である．一方，代謝物を一斉分析する技術であるメタボローム解析（代謝物の網羅的解析）は，爆発的に進化して応用分野も広がりを見せている．
本研究では，これらの成果を発展させ，特発性肺線維症の代謝異常に着目し，特発性肺線維症に特徴的な代謝物を解明する．特発性肺線維症の臨床検体と肺線維症自然発症マウスを用いてメタボローム解析の基礎研究を行い，今後の臨床応用へと発展させる．
