Outline of Research at the Start	本研究の目的は、「心筋細胞のミトコンドリアの恒常性維持機構の加齢変化の解析」である。従来、心筋細胞の加齢において酸化ストレスなどによるミトコンドリアDNAの障害がミトコンドリア機能低下の原因と考えられてきたが、それに加え機能低下したミトコンドリアの恒常性維持機構の加齢変化に着目することで、加齢による心臓の機能低下の原因の解明につながる新しい知見が得られることが期待される。
