侵害受容を司るTRPチャネルであるTRPV1およびTRPA1のそれぞれの拮抗薬と、GIRK1/2チャネルの選択的作動薬であるML297を脊髄腔内に同時投与することで、鎮痛作用がどのように変化するのか、また、その他の生体機能にどのような影響を及ぼすかを、主に電気生理学的手法および行動学的実験により明らかにする。

2021年度は、ラット後根付き脊髄スライス標本を用いたパッチクランプ法により、ML297の単独投与、ML297とTRPV1拮抗薬の同時投与、ML297とTRPA1拮抗薬の同時投与、あるいはML297とTRPV1拮抗薬とTRPA1拮抗薬の3者の同時投与が脊髄での電気応答にどのような影響を与えるかを明らかにする予定であった。
しかし、想定外に研究以外の業務が多忙となったため、予定していた研究が行えていない。そのため、報告できる実績はない。
