| Outline of Research at the Start |
グローバル化により日本の医療現場でも外国人患者をケアする機会が増加し、文化ケア能力を身につけることが求められている。そのためには、相手との文化的差異を肯定的に理解し、より良い関係を築くことができるよう、異文化感受性を高めることが重要である。本研究の目的は、日常的に留学生などの外国人と接する機会に乏しい看護系単科大学において、学生の異文化感受性の傾向を明らかにし、それを踏まえ、日本国内で実施できる異文化感受性を高めるための国際看護教育プログラムを検討することである。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
A questionnaire survey was conducted multiple times to students participating in an online international exchange at a nursing college. The results revealed an increase in the Intercultural Sensitivity Scale (ISS), motivation to learn, and communication skills. ISS was effectively increased by providing the participants with prior learning opportunities before the exchanges. The results also suggest that online international exchange can improve interpersonal skills in communication.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
COVID-19感染拡大以降、国際看護教育の一環としてICTを活用した国際交流が急速に普及しているが、ノウハウの蓄積が少なく学習効果の検証が求められている。本研究では、オンラインで実施する国際交流の意義が整理され、国際看護教育の一つの手段として効果的であることが明らかになった。プログラム内容を継続的に評価していくことで、低学年からの早期体験学習としての活用や、身体的・経済的理由により海外での国際交流・研修等への参加が困難な学生に対する教育を行う一助となり、内なる国際化が進む日本の医療現場で活躍できる人材育成に繋がると期待される。
