少子化や核家族化を背景とした母親の育児の孤立や産後うつ、児童虐待等の社会的問題が深刻化しており、妊産婦への手厚い支援が求められている。支援を行う際は、妊産婦個々人が生活においてどのような価値観をもち、どのような事を必要としているのかという個別的なQOLを継続的に把握することが不可欠である。英国で作成されたMGIは、妊産婦個々人の多様なQOLに対応できる形式をもち、世界各国で翻訳されている。本研究では、日本版MGIを作成し、妊産婦の個別的なQOLを継続的にアセスメントするツールとして標準化する。これにより妊娠期から子育て期にわたる切れ目のない母子支援の質向上を実現する。

| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to provide support that meets the needs of women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and child-rearing, it is necessary to continually understand the individual quality of life (QOL) of each woman, including her values and perceptions of her circumstances. We created a provisional Japanese version of the Mother-Generated Index (MGI), a QOL assessment tool originally created in the UK for prenatal and postnatal periods. We assessed the clarity and cultural appropriateness of the translation for Japanese pregnant and postpartum women through cognitive interviews. We identified and revised any issues that required improvement, thereby finalizing the Japanese translation.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本邦ではこれまで妊産婦の個別的なQOLをアセスメントできるツールがなかった。汎用されているQOL指標は項目内容が固定されており、妊産婦個々人の多様なQOLに対応する上で限界がある。MGIは、妊産婦自身が重視するQOLの構成領域を特定し評価する様式をもち、妊産婦の多様なQOLに柔軟に対応できる。本研究で作成した日本語版について、尺度特性の検討や既存ツールとの比較検討を進めることで、切れ目のない妊産婦支援への活用につなげることができる。
