Outline of Research at the Start

吹矢の如く呼息時に圧負荷をかける呼気圧負荷トレーニング(EPT) は、「息切れ」「睡眠時の無呼吸」「嚥下機能」を改善させる可能性がある。本研究では、慢性閉塞性肺疾患(COPD)を対象にEPTの有用性及び機序解明、更にはEPTと運動療法との併用効果を検証すべく多施設無作為化コントロール比較試験を行う。EPTは安価で、高齢者でも自宅で簡単に出来る利便性を有し、本研究の医学的、経済的、社会的意義は高い。
