Outline of Research at the Start

Outline of Final Research Achievements
We have developed advanced statistical models to better predict patient risks and treatment outcomes in cancer care, using real-world data such as the timing and patterns of side effects and survival periods. These models are particularly focused on time-to-event data, where the timing of symptom onset or disease progression provides valuable information. We also addressed the challenge of multiple symptoms appearing together, by using methods that model the joint risk of two or more events. For example, we applied copula-based models and discrete-time hazard models to estimate how likely certain side effects are to occur at the same time, and how these risks change over time or differ between treatments. By incorporating factors like cumulative drug dosage and patient characteristics, our models allow for more personalized and accurate predictions.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
