Outline of Research at the Start

自閉スペクトラム症(ASD)を持つ個体は、定型発達(TD)とは異なる視線認知を行っていることが脳機能画像レベルで明らかになりつつある。本研究は、ASD固有の視線認知について、その発達過程を脳磁図(MEG)を用いて明らかにする。様々な年齢層のASD患者に視線認知課題施行中のMEG測定を行い、課題処理のために動員される脳神経回路が加齢により変化していく過程をTD群の被検者とも比較しつつ検討する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

これまでの取得データについて、追加の解析を行った。具体的には、FDR補正を用いた矢印条件・視線条件における自閉スペクトラム症(Autistic Spectrum Disorder: ASD)群 vs 定型発達(Typical Development: TD)群の脳活動の差を検出する解析を行った。その結果、TD群では視線の動きに反応する際に、上側頭回、中側頭回、中前頭回の連動回路を用いているのに対し、ASD群ではその回路を使用していないと思われる脳活動を同定した。

これらの結果を、The 11th Congress of The Asian Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professions(ASCAPAP 2023 in Kyoto)にて、PO-121
Measurement of brain activity by magnetoencephalography during a gaze cognition task in adults with autism spectrum disorderの演題名で発表し、Best Poster Awardを受賞した(https://child-adolesc.jp/ascapap2023/poster-presentations/)。また関連する解析結果を第45回日本生物学的精神医学会にも脳磁図を用いた自閉スペクトラム症の視線認知メカニズム研究の演題名で発表した。

Current Status of Research Progress

Reason

2023年度はこれまでに取得したデータの解析及び発表に主眼を置いた。また、物価高騰および円安の影響で、脳磁図(MEG)のランニングコストが従来の約2000万円/年から、年々増加しており、2024年には4400万円/年に達する見込みとの報告を受け、MEGをお借りしている西新潟中央病院がMEG稼働停止を検討しているとのことで、何とか測定を続けることができないか、研究継続の可能性を探っている。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

年間通してのMEG稼働が不可能でも、1年のうち数か月のみMEGを稼働して頂くなど、可能な範囲で研究継続できないか、可能性を検討している。新たな測定が不可能となれば、これまでに取得できているデータを論文化し、本研究を終了する。
