Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では,5Gなどのモバイルネットワークで課題となっている広範囲のカバレッジを実現するため,デバイス同士でオンデマンドに通信を行うDevice-to-Device(D2D)と呼ばれるアプローチに取り組む.その中でも特に,外部からモバイルユーザのD2D通信への参加や相互の協力を促す仕組みを導入することで,自律的かつ時空間的に適切なD2D通信の実現を目指す.これまで電池やデータ量消費などのデメリットもあり,ユーザの自発的な参加による適切なD2D通信が難しいという課題があったが,本研究では特に,QoSなどの課題を解決し,ゲーミフィケーションなどのアプローチによるユーザ参加促進メカニズムを検討する.

Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, we introduced a new penalty term to encourage autonomous device to device (D2D) communication among mobile users, confirming its effectiveness through multi-agent simulations. Additionally, to address security concerns, we proposed a multi-channel device authentication protocol utilizing optical channels, implemented in an Android application. Furthermore, we proposed Signage Cipher Modulation (SCM) as an optical signal embedding method for video content, validated using liquid crystal displays and smartphones. To tackle communication quality issues in autonomous D2D communication, we utilized C-RAN architecture and statistical information from partial communication links to evaluate and verify communication reliability and stability.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究では,これまで十分な研究が進んでいなかった自律型D2D通信に焦点を当て,従来の一方的なインセンティブとは異なる観点でアプローチしたことは学術的意義が大きい.ペナルティ項の導入や光カメラ通信のセキュリティ確保など,このメカニズムの実用化に向けた有望な成果も得ることができた.また,市民からの無線ユニット収集による通信リソースの効率的活用は,持続可能な都市開発の実現に貢献するといえる.さらには,部分的なリンク統計による信頼性評価の効果も示唆され,通信システムの設計や運用において効率性が向上することが期待できる.こうした成果は,今後の産業や社会の発展に大きく寄与するものといえる.
