申請者は、これまで “ブラックボックス問題”に注目しAIを用いた医工連携の研究（AIと医師の着眼点の違いの解明）を行ってきた。本研究では、AI技術を統合し、前立腺癌のwhole-clinical dataに対して、ホワイトボックスな深層学習に基づいた医療AIシステムを構築し信頼できる医療技術検証を行う。本研究では、日本医科大学付属病院で診療を行った前立腺癌症例におけるwhole-clinical data（臨床情報、病理画像、超音波画像、放射線画像）に基づき解析を行う。これら研究成果は、泌尿器科学の進歩や医療画像診断の発展に寄与し、将来的なAI医療応用に結びつく重要なステップとなる。

| Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
2024年05月現在では、前立腺癌の医療画像に対する検証として、MRIや超音波画像に対する検証研究をすすめてきた。今後、追加研究として多種モデルを統合した深層学習システムを用いて、実臨床におけるreal-time な解析を目指すべく、医療AIのwhite box化に向けた研究を継続中である。
