Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では，都市化や温暖化によってもたらされる都市住民と生物の接触が引き起こす様々なリスク（以下，生物リスクと略す）の適切な管理政策を検討するために，経済学と生態学の融合を行う．都市において生物リスクをもたらす生物種は，都市内に限れば害獣であるものの生態系の中では重要な働きを持つ．この生物リスクは，住民と生物の空間的相互作用とみなせる．そこで，本研究は，人類と生物の接触がもたらすリスクの管理政策を接触の空間相互依存作用を明示のうえ検討することを目的として都市経済学と生態学の統合モデルの構築を行う．

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では，この都市化や温暖化によってもたらされる都市住民と生物の接触が引き起こすコンフリクトを経済学と生態学の両学問の統合を行い，その解決案を探ることを目的としている．

研究実績としては，Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization にYoshida & Kono (2022)が公刊された．本論文は，Lotka-Volterra モデルと都市モデルを融合したもので，最善経済の性質を分析したものである．そのモデルをベースに，都市に侵入する動物がクマのケースの政策や，イノシシを想定した子供と大人の二種類を考慮した分析を進めている．後者のモデルでは，子育てエリアを特定化しなかったものの，子育てエリアが都市内や森林に広がるとメタ個体群モデルとなる．

結果として，温暖化が進み森林に動物の食物が豊富になるものの，それ以上に動物が増加する時期が来ることで，結果として動物の頭数が減少するというパラドックスを示すことができている．また，その現象における子供と大人の頭数の変化も表現できている．今後は，構築した生態系モデルと都市経済モデルの統合モデルの動学の解の性質について，パラメータを変化させて把握する研究を行う．

Strategy for Future Research Activity

新たに，鳥や昆虫などが公園をベースに都市で繁殖するモデルを研究し始めている．これは，局所的集団（パッチと呼ばれる）が多数点在し，それぞれのパッチでは生成と消滅を繰り返しながら生物が存続するモデルとなる．すでに進めているモデルが複数あり，さらにそれらをベースに最適政策も検討している．この分析を今後進めて，学会等で発表しながら成熟度を上げていく予定である．
